Description

The Assistant General Manager works under the direction of the General Manager for all center operations and is in charge of the center in the GM’s absence. This includes the entire property, food and beverage, equipment, and center administration functions. The Assistant General Manager is also in charge of all training in the Center.

 

Preferred Qualifications & Requirements

 

  • High School Diploma and Minimum two years’ experience in fast paced service environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2 years supervision or management experience in a restaurant, retail, entertainment, or bowling venue
  • Professional appearance

Roles and Responsibilities

This specific job description covers the basic function, qualifications, requirements, working conditions, and skills necessary, but not limited to the successful fulfillment of this position in accordance to the standards of the company.

  • Assist with recruiting, hiring, training and scheduling of all center level staff
  • Cultivate a total team environment by motivating, coaching and leading the staff to maximum productivity
  • Schedule staff as directed by the GM to maximize service to the customers and meet the proper needs of the business
  • Promote positive employee relations through an open-door policy while upholding the Operations Procedures established
  • Build strong customer relations by proactively visiting with guests, soliciting feedback, and resolving all customer issues and complaints
  • Maintain facility through attention to detail and adherence to all checklists provided
  • Improve operational execution through properly training all employees and follow up to ensure compliance with all courses, curricula’s and standards
  • Ensure proper inventory procedures and levels are maintained to provide the highest quality of product offering and to control costs
  • Willing to learn Company computer systems and programs
  • Willing to learn Qubica/AMF BES X scoring system to include all features new to industry
  • Knowledge and compliance with all procedures and cash management policies
  • Execute quality marketing strategies to drive revenue in group sales, events, and F&B
  • Ensure all management maintain a “floor” presence in the center during peak times providing great service to customers and support for staff
  • Ensure responsible alcohol training (Responsible Vendor Training) is provided to all employees serving alcohol and that the center complies with all local alcohol laws and regulations
  • Ensures compliance with all applicable occupational, health, and safety regulations and laws
  • Work within the community to create strategic relationships with various business organizations that would bring positive PR for the center
  • Ensures that all employees are in proper uniform, proper grooming and name tags
  • Provides training and coaching when appropriate
  • Confers with management in recommending disciplinary proceedings when appropriate
  • Ensures that the Center is clean and ready for guests at all times

 

 

Other Roles that may be asked of you include, but are not limited to:

  • Clean windows and floors
  • Keeping all bathrooms clean
  • Helping to set up small and large parties, Group Events and Buyouts
  • Take out trash
  • Mop Floor
  • Providing Teamwork when needed in any area of Center
  • Represent Headpinz/Bowland positively at all times, including verbiage and dress standards
  • Follow Safety Standards put forth by the Company
  • Attend specialized training classes when appropriate, complete continued training courses
