Description

The Host works under the Lounge Manager, but will take direction from all Managers and Supervisors on duty.  A Host serves patrons by greeting them at the door, seating them at the appropriate table, and thanking the Guests for coming upon their departure.  The host will also help with setting tables; placing and replacing silverware; adhering to sanitation and safety policies; clearing and cleaning tables, chairs, and floors.

Qualifications & Requirements

 

  • Must be 16 years of age
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Team player, with a positive attitude
  • Great communication skills

Roles and Responsibilities

 

This specific job description covers the basic function, qualifications, requirements, working conditions, and skills necessary, but not limited to the successful fulfillment of this position in accordance to the standards of the company.

 

 

  • Greets Guests at the door as a representative of Headpinz with a positive attitude.
  • Seats guests and helps them throughout their stay.
  • Communicates with Servers, Bartenders, Bussers, and Managers of any special needs or situations that need to be addressed.
  • Prepares dining room for patrons by cleaning tables; setting condiments, napkins, and utensils.
  • Protects establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation and safety policies.
  • Maintains menu presentation by keeping menus clean; replacing damaged or soiled menus.
  • Maintains table setting by removing plates as completed; replenishing utensils; being alert to patron spills or other special needs.
  • Supports wait staff by setting-up and replenishing bus stations, silverware and trash containers liners.
  • Keeps dining room clean at all times, including tables and floors
  • Thanks the Guests and invites them back up their departure.
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Attend specialized training classes when appropriate, continued training courses when needed
